The events were organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the initiative and with the active support of the university administration.
Military veterans who regularly train at the DSUIA base took part in the event, in particular Ihor Krasnoshlyk, as well as senior lecturers of the department Marharyta Chobotko and Ihor Chobotko.
The training was conducted with the aim of involving military veterans in pétanque sessions — a sport that contributes to effective restoration of motor activity, improvement of coordination and fine motor skills.
Pétanque combines elements of precision, strategic thinking and team interaction, contributing to the development of fine motor skills, reduction of psychological tension levels and formation of a sense of team unity. According to experts, this game is suitable for persons undergoing rehabilitation, as it does not require sudden movements and excessive muscle tension.
