In Dnipro, the opening of physical culture and health events and competitions of the All-Ukrainian Student Leagues “Shoulder to Shoulder” took place under the slogan “TOGETHER WE WILL WIN”.
The event was opened by the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration – Head of the Oblast Military Administration, Police General of the Third Rank Oleksandr Han zha, his deputy Iryna Hrytsai, and the Vice Prime Minister for the Recovery of Ukraine – Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by the Head of the Department of Special Physical Training, Police Major Viktor Bohuslavskyi, and the DSUIA combined team.
The project “Shoulder to Shoulder. All-Ukrainian Student Leagues” is aimed at the development of student sports, formation of an active civic position, popularization of team interaction, and involvement of higher education applicants in all-Ukrainian initiatives.
The competitions started in four sports: volleyball, basketball, futsal (separate teams for boys and girls), and cheerleading (mixed teams).
During the season, competitions in volleyball, basketball, and futsal will be divided into several stages:
Stage 1 (student stage) – December 2025 – January 2026: in higher education institutions, the strongest participants and teams are identified and formed for the corresponding sport, which are registered on the official website of the project.
Stage 2 (regional stage) – February 2026 – April 2026: competitions between teams within the oblasts. The winning team receives the right to represent its region at the next stage.
Stage 3 (inter-regional stage) – April 2026.
In addition, representatives of the school league team handed over to the DSUIA team a symbolic flag of the “Shoulder to Shoulder” project, which will be used by the student league.
