Within the framework of the development of interagency cooperation, a working meeting took place with the participation of the Head of the “Istyna” Legal Clinic of DSUIA, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Shablystyi, and the Assistant to the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk Oblast on Veterans’ Policy Oleksandr Bilozercev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed mechanisms for providing legal assistance to police veterans who were wounded while performing official duties, as well as to members of their families. In particular, the discussion concerned advisory support and legal accompaniment on issues of social protection, realization of benefits and ensuring legitimate rights.
Separate attention was paid to involving police veterans in events on national-patriotic education of lyceum pupils, cadets and university students. This format of interaction will contribute to the transfer of practical experience, the formation of motivation among future law enforcement officers and the strengthening of values of service to the state and society.
