Pupil of Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA became a prize-winner of the regional judo championship

At the competitions that gathered more than 140 athletes from Dnipropetrovsk region, lyceum pupil Aliona BURDINA won silver.

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Judo Championship among cadets took place on January 17 at the sports complex “Olympic Reserves”. It became the first competitive start of this year and united participants under 18 years old.

Pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine competed in three weight categories, demonstrating meaningful, technical and confident fighting. Second place in the up to 44 kg category was won by Aliona BURDINA. Also participating were Denys NECHIPURENKO and Mykola KUZNETSOV, who competed in the up to 66 kg and up to 73 kg categories respectively.

Denys NECHIPURENKO already has a bronze medal won at the Zaporizhzhia Regional Judo Championship among cadets.

The tournament became a qualifying stage for the Championship of Ukraine, which will take place at the end of January in the city of Uzhhorod. We congratulate the lyceum pupils on their excellent performance and wish them further success on their sports path!
