The event was conducted with the aim of mastering techniques of crisis intervention and the basics of providing first psychological aid.
The training took place during an air alert in the psychological support room located in the shelter.
The Head of the Department of Psychological Support Serhii Vyshnevskyi familiarized the participants with the experience of practical activity and the level of competence of the University psychologists, drawing attention to the possibilities and procedure for receiving psychological assistance.
During the training, police officers became familiar with the elements, tasks, rules, principles and modern models of first psychological aid. Algorithms and techniques of crisis intervention during acute stress reactions were practiced. Participants were presented with cases of practical application of the acquired knowledge and educational video materials were demonstrated.
Trainer Vladyslav Bidniak noted that the participants showed interest in the topic and expressed satisfaction with participation in the training, emphasizing the practical significance of the session in the work of police officers.
The conducted event became a foundation for further work aimed at increasing the level of psychological competence, prevention of psychological disorders and development of stress resistance among active employees of the National Police of Ukraine.
