The session was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA on the initiative and with the comprehensive support of the university administration.
The first wheelchair adaptive basketball team in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, created on the basis of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, continues systematic training sessions.
Participants practiced movement around the playing court on specialized wheelchairs, passing technique, as well as shots into the basket from different positions.
Such events are conducted for the purpose of physical rehabilitation of military veterans and persons with disabilities, restoration of motor functions, strengthening of health, as well as for psychological support and social re-adaptation.
Adaptive basketball training sessions at DSUIA take place on a weekly basis and are part of a comprehensive program for the rehabilitation and integration of veterans through sports.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs continues to create conditions for the development of adaptive sports, contributing to physical recovery, social adaptation and psychological support for Ukraine’s defenders.
