The event was organized by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Mykola Repan.
District police officers from Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kherson, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts, who are undergoing specialization at the Department of Organization of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA, took part in the class.
The Head of the Educational Security Sector of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Police Lieutenant Colonel Olena Tkachova, met with the participants.
During the event, practical aspects of the activities of the Educational Security Service and possibilities for effective interaction of police officers with the educational environment were considered.
The participants examined the structure, tasks and main directions of the Service’s work, learned about the specifics of preventive work with children, algorithms of actions in case of detection of threats in educational institutions, as well as familiarized themselves with examples of implementing a safe space in educational establishments.
Special attention was paid to the topic of building trust between the police, pupils, teaching staff and parents. Exchange of practical experience, consideration of real cases from the work of inspectors of the Educational Security Service and district police officers, as well as discussion of current challenges faced by police officers in communities, made the class meaningful, informative and maximally practice-oriented.
