The representatives of DSUIA organized a lecture and a flower laying ceremony. The events became a symbol of deep respect and sorrow for the innocently killed, as well as a reminder of one of the most tragic pages in world history.

The lecture for the cadets was prepared by the Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Yulia Zavhorodnia.

The speaker talked about the tragedy, during which the Nazis destroyed about 6 million Jews, 1.5 million of them from the territory of modern Ukraine.
Yulia Zavhorodnia paid special attention to the date of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day — January 27. On this day, in 1945, the 1st Ukrainian Front troops liberated one of the largest Nazi death camps — “Auschwitz-Birkenau”.

Also, second-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies joined the events to honor the memory of civilians who became victims of Nazi crimes and laid flowers at the monument.

The cadets demonstrated their respect for the memory of the Holocaust victims and awareness of the importance of preserving historical truth.
Participation in such events contributes to the formation of humanistic values in future law enforcement officers, the education of tolerance, respect for human rights, and responsibility for preventing crimes against humanity.
