The event was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the initiative and with comprehensive support of the higher education institution’s administration.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs continues to create conditions for the development of adaptive sports, contributing to physical recovery, social adaptation and psychological support for Ukraine’s defenders.
The first adaptive basketball team in the MIA system of Ukraine was created at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. It includes military veterans who were wounded as a result of the armed aggression of the rf.
During the regular training session, team interaction, methods of movement around the playing court, passing the ball to a teammate and fighting for the ball with an opponent were practiced.
Adaptive basketball training sessions at DSUIA take place weekly.
