Binary classes were organized by Oleksandr Kryvopusk, lecturer of the Department of Forensics and Pre-medical Training, Police Major.
The classes were conducted by Andrii Repeshko, Head of the Weapons Research Sector of the Donetsk Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Within the study of the discipline “Methodology of Investigating Certain Types of Criminal Offenses”, a class was held for cadets of group KP-K-9-25-1 on the topic “Methodology of Investigating Criminal Offenses Against Life and Health of a Person”. Andrii Repeshko focused cadets’ attention on the specifics of examining weapons and ammunition, and also pointed out typical mistakes made by investigators when ordering forensic examinations.
Also, a class was conducted for cadets of the training group DR-244 on the topic “Organization and Planning of Pre-trial Investigation”. The expert explained the specifics of organizing investigative (search) actions and provided recommendations on preserving physical evidence.
The involvement of a practicing expert allowed cadets to deepen their understanding of real mechanisms of forensic expert activity, prevent typical mistakes during the appointment of examinations, and learn how to properly secure the evidentiary base in criminal proceedings.
