The event was organized by the academic staff of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA.

On the eve of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, within the framework of a curatorial hour, a meeting was held between higher education students of specialty K9 “Law Enforcement” and Serhii Basinov, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The topic of the event — “War through the Prism of Personal Experience: Challenges, Values, and Responsibility” — became the basis for an open dialogue about the modern realities of war, the role of Ukraine’s defenders, and the importance of civic resilience in conditions of armed aggression.

Serhii Basinov shared his own combat experience, spoke about the moral trials faced by servicemen, and emphasized the importance of patriotism, societal unity, and a conscious choice.
Such events are an important component of national-patriotic education of youth and contribute to the formation of an active civic position among students, respect for the defenders of Ukraine, and understanding of the challenges of today.
