DSUIA and the Barrier-Free Driving School Were Presented to Military Veterans Undergoing Rehabilitation in Dnipro

The event was held jointly with representatives of the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

Head of the Automotive Training Department of DSUIA, military veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov, introduced patients of the State Institution “Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast” to the activities of the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA. Those present were informed about driver training categories for persons with disabilities, the specifics of equipping vehicles with manual controls, and the procedure for completing the training.

The participants of the meeting also received information on the procedure for obtaining services at the MIA service centers and the possibility of re-equipping vehicles in accordance with the individual needs of persons with disabilities.

In addition, the participants were introduced to the activities of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, the conditions for obtaining higher education, and opportunities for further employment at the educational institution for veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The servicemen spoke with a driving instructor and examined a specially adapted vehicle used for practical training.
