The regional competition among juniors under 21 took place on February 14–15 in the city of Dnipro. Alona Burdina won first place in the weight category up to 44 kg.
The championship brought together athletes from territorial communities of the region, as well as representatives of sports schools, clubs, and educational institutions. The tournament was held in accordance with the current rules of the Judo Federation of Ukraine: bouts lasted the regular time with the possibility of extra time, and winners were determined based on the results of matches in their respective weight categories.
Alona Burdina delivered a confident performance, demonstrating strong tactical preparation, composure, and psychological resilience. In the final bout, she managed to capitalize on her technical advantage and secure the victory, which ensured her first place in the category.
