The event was organized by senior lecturers of the Department of Special Physical Training of DSUIA, Police Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Rohalskyi and Marharyta Chobotko, for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU.
The invited guest was the Deputy Chief of Staff — Head of the Planning Group of the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Dmytro Bilan.
During the class, the issue of defensive actions in case of a knife threat was raised. The guest shared his combat experience with the cadets, defensive techniques against cold weapon strikes were practiced, typical situations when an opponent may pose such a threat were considered, as well as algorithms for quick response and escape from a dangerous zone.
Dmytro Bilan is a Master of Sports of International Class in jiu-jitsu, so his experience is extremely important and useful for future law enforcement officers.

Such events contribute to the formation in cadets of practical self-defense skills in real dangerous situations, increasing the level of physical and psychological readiness to perform official tasks, deepening the understanding of combat realities and effective interaction between law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in modern conditions.
