“Tryzub – Code of the Nation”: Communication Hour at Dnipro Lyceum named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA

MIA Lyceum

The event was held on the occasion of the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine.

The meeting took place online. History teacher Yuliia Lavreniuk told the pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA about the history of the State Emblem of Ukraine, its essence and significance as a symbol of statehood, national identity, freedom, dignity and the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people throughout the centuries.

The pupils learned that it was on February 19, 1992, that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the Small State Emblem — the Tryzub of Prince Volodymyr the Great as the main symbol of the state. Since then, it has become an embodiment of independence.

Such events contribute to the formation in youth of deep respect for state symbols, awareness of their historical and modern value, the cultivation of patriotism, pride in their country and responsibility for the future of Ukraine, as well as the strengthening of the sense of unity of generations around common national values.
