Appeal by Ihor Mahdalina on the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred

NEWS

Dear colleagues, cadets, students, lyceum pupils!

Today we bow our heads in memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred — people whose choice became a symbol of civic courage, honor and love for Ukraine. They went out to Maidan not for glory, but for dignity, freedom and the right to live in a just state.

Their feat forever changed the course of Ukrainian history. The Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred showed that true strength lies in principles, and true courage lies in the readiness to defend the truth, even at the cost of one’s own life. It was from this choice that the path of modern Ukraine began, which continues today.

For our university, this date is a reminder of high responsibility. We train specialists called to serve the people of Ukraine, to protect the law, rights and freedoms of citizens. The memory of the Heavenly Hundred obliges us to act honestly, professionally and humanely — every day, in every decision.

May the names of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred always live in our memory, and their feat be a moral guide for all generations of Ukrainians.

Eternal memory and honor to the Heroes.

With respect
Ihor Mahdalina,
Acting Rector of DSUIA
