An elective class for future investigators was conducted by the group curator, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA, Police Lieutenant Colonel Yuliia Shendryk.

During the session, using the locations of the investigative and forensic training ground, cadets practiced skills in conducting searches, inspecting housing or other property of a person, and preparing the relevant protocols and their annexes. The format of the class was максимально close to real service conditions.
Yuliia Shendryk emphasized the practical aspects of conducting investigative actions under martial law, the specifics of procedural documentation, the correctness of drafting protocols, and strict observance of the rights of persons present during investigative actions. Typical violations that may serve as grounds for declaring evidence inadmissible were also examined separately.


The acquired knowledge and skills significantly enhance the professional readiness of cadets to work under martial law. They enable оперативно and safely carry out investigative actions, make well-grounded decisions at the scene, and ensure high-quality procedural work, which is critically important for investigations.
