The meeting was organized by the Department of Special Physical Training at the State Commercial Enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise”.
The event was attended by the Acting Head of the Department, Police Captain Dmytro Anisimov, Senior Lecturer Marharyta Chobotko, and military veteran Bohdan Demchenko.
During the meeting, the activities of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs were presented, in particular the directions of adaptive veteran sports.
The patients were told about the work of the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School, the conditions of training, the features of equipment of adapted training vehicles, and the categories of driver training for persons with disabilities.
Information was also provided about the possibilities of obtaining higher education at DSUIA: the structure of the university, institutes, faculties, specialties, and admission conditions. Particular emphasis was placed on the prospects of employment for military veterans at the educational institution.
In addition, the participants of the meeting were presented with the sports game pétanque, its rules, features, and significant benefits for health and rehabilitation.
Such events contribute to veterans’ awareness of available educational, professional, and rehabilitation opportunities, expanding their social and professional prospects.
