The training was organized for second-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine as part of the implementation of non-formal education programs.
The event was aimed at increasing the awareness of future law enforcement officers in the field of cybersecurity, fostering a responsible attitude toward the use of digital technologies, and preventing cyber threats and offenses on the Internet.
During the training, cadets watched educational series on the Diia mobile application platform and completed a specialized course on the fundamentals of digital literacy and cybersecurity. They became familiar with current online risks, methods of personal data protection, and ways to counter phishing, cyberbullying, and other common threats.
Special attention was given to the practical aspects of safe behavior in the information space and the role of law enforcement agencies in combating cybercrime.
All cadets who completed the training received relevant certificates after their knowledge was assessed using the “Cybergram” test (a quick test of basic digital security principles consisting of 15 questions).
Such events contribute to the development of cadets’ competencies in cyber hygiene, enhance their skills in identifying and preventing digital threats, and prepare future specialists to effectively combat cybercrime in the context of digitalization and the growing number of crimes committed using information and communication technologies.
