A meeting of the Academic Council was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs under the chairmanship of Acting Rector Ihor Mahdalina.
For conscientious performance of official duties, demonstrated ingenuity, initiative, professional excellence, and decisive actions during search operations in the city of Dnipro, certificates of merit were awarded to Deputy Course Commander of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Captain Dmytro Tsyhankov, as well as cadets of the faculty Artem Herashchenko, Hlib Tkachenko, and Artem Korniichuk. The certificates were presented by Deputy Head of Dnipro District Police Department No. 1, Police Colonel Bohdan Lisoivan.
The professor’s certificate was awarded to Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, Police Lieutenant Colonel Roman Opatskyi.
A number of important issues regarding the university’s activities were raised. The academic performance of higher education students in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year was discussed. The issue of awarding academic titles to scientific and pedagogical staff of the university was also considered.
The Anti-Corruption Program of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs for 2026–2028 was approved, and the activities of the postgraduate, adjunct, and doctoral studies programs of the university in the 2025/2026 academic year were discussed.
In addition, a decision was made to establish one-time specialized academic councils for the public defense of dissertations in order to confer the Doctor of Philosophy degree.
