On February 25–26, 2026, students from five security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums, as well as the Military Lyceum of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, competed at the chessboards.
The O. Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was represented by a team consisting of students Andrii Kholod, Dmytro Shevel, Oleksandr Spyrydonov, and Davyd Yaroshevych under the guidance of educator Junior Lieutenant Serhii Didyk.
In the individual chess competition, lyceum students Andrii Kholod and Oleksandr Spyrydonov won third place.
The awards were presented to the students by State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk, Head of the Department for Monitoring the Activities of MIA Lyceums Larysa Vasianovych, Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs Ruslan Serbyn, and Chief Judge of the Championship Ivan Zakharchuk.
