Cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event.
The elective training session was conducted by Deputy Dean of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine for Educational and Research Activities, Police Major Elvira Sydorova, and Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Serhii Babanin.
The participants addressed the issue of the possibility of using mediation procedures in conflicts related to domestic and gender-based violence, as well as the impact of mediation outcomes on decision-making in criminal proceedings initiated under Article 126-1 “Domestic Violence” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, practical skills for conducting mediation procedures in such conflicts were practiced.
