NEWS, Sport for military veterans

The session was conducted by the Department of Special Physical Training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs with organizational support and assistance from the university administration.

Veterans – employees of various units of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk Oblast, as well as representatives of the 31st Brigade named after Major General Oleksandr Radiyevskyi of the National Guard of Ukraine – took part in the event.

The training was led by Vasyl Koval, Champion of Ukraine, professional coach and active supporter of veteran sports.

Guests of the sports event, together with military veterans training at the DSUIA base, practiced basic table tennis techniques: ball serve, defense of one’s half of the table, movement around the table and other elements of the game.

Table tennis helps veterans maintain physical fitness, develop reaction, coordination and concentration, as well as reduce stress levels.

Table tennis classes are an important component of comprehensive rehabilitation and gradual return to an active lifestyle for military personnel and veterans who defended Ukraine.
