“Safe City”: Continuation of the Series of Elective Classes at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs

Third-year cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the event.

The topic of the class was “The Situational Video Surveillance System ‘Safe City.’”

The session was conducted by Inspector of the Department for Control over Checkpoint Activities and Interaction with Law Enforcement Agencies of the Preventive Activities Directorate of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk Region, Police Captain Hanna Turchanikova.

Cadets became acquainted with the specifics of the functioning of the “Safe City” situational video surveillance system, its technical capabilities, and its role in ensuring public safety. Emphasis was placed on the use of modern digital technologies for monitoring the operational situation, preventing offenses, and responding effectively to incidents.

Hanna Turchanikova also provided practical examples of the use of video surveillance systems in the activities of National Police of Ukraine units, spoke about the possibilities of analytical processing of video data, and explained their importance for solving offenses and ensuring public safety.

Conducting such classes contributes to improving the professional training of future police officers, forming a modern vision of the use of technologies in the field of security, and strengthening cooperation between Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Luhansk Region.
