Educational Security Service as a Guarantee of a Safe Educational Environment Under Martial Law: Binary Class at DSUIA

The class was organized by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs Mykola Repan.

The Head of the Educational Security Service Department of the Patrol Police Directorate in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Police Captain Denys Shulha, met with trainees of the Department of Organization of Advanced Training and Specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning who were newly recruited to the National Police of Ukraine.

During the class on the topic “Preventive (Prophylactic) Police Activity”, Denys Shulha spoke about the Educational Security Service, whose activities during the period of martial law in Ukraine acquire special significance. Participants of the meeting learned about the range of tasks of the Service – from information and awareness-raising work to physical protection of educational facilities, from identifying threats and responding to incidents to building trust between the police and the school community.

Emphasis was placed on preventing bullying, countering destructive influences in the youth environment, as well as improving mechanisms of interagency interaction for timely response to emergency situations.

The class aroused significant interest; those present asked questions and were interested in all aspects of the Educational Security Service’s activities.
