Higher education applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level educational program “Law Enforcement Activity” in specialty K9 Law Enforcement Activity of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA familiarized themselves with the activities of polygraph examiners.
The event was conducted by the Head of the Information and Technical Support Department, polygraph specialist, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Shcherbyna.
During the lecture, students became familiar with the main directions of polygraph application in the private sector, in particular in HR management and enterprise security systems. Effective methods of using polygraphological research for personnel verification, integrity assessment in order to prevent internal threats were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the principles of polygraph operation and the requirements for conducting research in accordance with normative legal documents of Ukraine.
The practical demonstration of a polygraph examiner’s work during introductory testing aroused high interest.
Such events contribute to expanding the professional worldview of future law enforcement specialists, forming an understanding of the possibilities of using the polygraph, etc.
