Cadets and students of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in events on the occasion of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday.
A creative meeting dedicated to the historical figure of Taras Shevchenko took place at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU. The event was organized by the Deputy Head of the Course, Senior Police Lieutenant Yuliia Khorolska.
Cadets recited the poetry of the Kobzar, spoke about his life path and shared interesting facts from Taras Shevchenko’s biography.
Curatorial hours on the topics “Taras Shevchenko – Master of Word and Brush”, “Shevchenko’s Spring of Words Never Runs Dry”, “Let Us Unite Ukraine with Taras’s Word”, “Shevchenko Is Ours. He Is for All Centuries” were held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA. The events were organized by curators of study groups with the aim of honoring the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist and public figure.
Higher education applicants learned about the creative heritage and significant contribution to the formation of Ukrainian national consciousness. Particular attention was paid to the artist’s role in the establishment of Ukrainian literature, the development of national culture and the affirmation of ideas of freedom, dignity and justice.
Participants analyzed the famous poetic works of the artist, discussed their relevance in modern conditions and the significance of the Kobzar for Ukrainian society.
The events took place in a meaningful and educational atmosphere, contributed to a better understanding of the national cultural heritage and the formation of respect for the figure of Taras Shevchenko as a symbol of the struggle for freedom, spirituality and unity of the Ukrainian people.
