The event was conducted by the Department of Language Training of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs within the framework of the implementation of the National Action Plan for the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace, Security”.
Cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU took part in the round table.
Professor of the Department of Language Training Volodymyr Krasnopolskyi delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of holding such events for understanding the role of the woman law enforcement officer on a global scale.
The cadets prepared presentations about the activities of women who work as police officers, investigators, and detectives in different countries of the world. During the round table the students defended their projects in English.
Such events contribute to the formation of professional competencies of cadets in an English-speaking environment, deepening knowledge about international standards of gender policy in the law enforcement sphere, development of public speaking and presentation skills in a foreign language, as well as fostering a conscious attitude toward the principles of equality and the role of women in ensuring peace, security, and justice.
