The event was organized jointly with representatives of the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
At the base of one of the “Recovery” rehabilitation centers, a presentation of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and the Barrier-Free Driving School operating at the university took place.
The Head of the Automotive Training Department of DSUIA, war veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov, familiarized the center’s patients with the university’s activities and conditions for obtaining higher education, and also emphasized the possibility of further employment at the institution.
Particular attention was paid to the work of the DSUIA Barrier-Free Driving School: those present were provided with information regarding categories of driver training for persons with disabilities, as well as features of equipment of training vehicles and the procedure for undergoing training.
Participants of the meeting learned about the procedure for receiving services at MIA service centers and the possibility of vehicle adaptation.
In addition, those present communicated with the driver-instructor, inspected a specially adapted vehicle used for practical classes, and also tried their hand at driving the car.
