The event was held on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer.
The lecture was delivered by a representative of the Khorunzha Service of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”, lieutenant, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Roman “Med” PASICHNYI.

Roman PASICHNYI paid attention to the formation of volunteer formations, emphasized their significance for the country’s defense at the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014.
Particular attention was paid to the volunteer unit “Azov”. The “Azov” unit went from a small partisan detachment of “black men” to a brigade, and now – to the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”.
Roman PASICHNYI paid special attention to the battle for Mariupol in 2022. The defense of this city detained a large grouping of Russian troops, preventing their rapid advance in other directions. The key role in the defense of Mariupol was played by the “Azov” regiment, which is now the first corps of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the MIA thanked the serviceman of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov” Roman PASICHNYI for the meaningful and interesting lecture.
