Female cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine took part in the event.

The class was conducted by Hanna Mhlynets, leading psychologist of the Psychological Support Unit of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The aim of the event was to develop psychological awareness of the gender component of interaction in the professional environment.
During the class, issues of personal self-esteem, differences between the needs of women and men, and the influence of the gender component on professional activity and motivation of police officers were discussed.
Hanna Mhlynets helped the cadets create a women’s circle and a supportive space, fostering individual resourcefulness for each participant. Issues that will be addressed at the next meetings were also discussed separately.
Serhii Vyshnevskyi, Head of the Psychological Support Unit of the University, noted that in modern society psychological awareness and personal maturity are essential components in forming the foundations of gender equality in the state.
