A meeting between cadets and military veterans who currently work at the educational institution was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The event was organized on the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, which is celebrated on March 14.

Veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war joined the meeting with the cadets: Viacheslav Panin, Oleksandr Hryshchuk, Viacheslav Lysenko, Oleksandr Otrubiannikov, and Artem Formalov. They shared their personal stories of service, spoke about their combat experience, the strength of brotherhood, and the importance of the volunteer movement in defending the state.

During the meeting, the veterans emphasized that volunteers have always been a symbol of courage, determination, and responsibility for the fate of the country, because it was they who, at critical moments in history, stood up to defend Ukraine without waiting for orders.

The cadets had the opportunity to ask questions, hear firsthand accounts of events at the front, and learn more about the path of soldiers after returning to civilian life. The conversation took place in an open and sincere atmosphere.

Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nataliia Karnaukh, also took part in the event. She emphasized the importance of such meetings for forming respect among future law enforcement officers for the feat of Ukraine’s defenders, understanding the value of freedom, and realizing their responsibility to the state.

The meeting became another example of how the educational process, patriotic education, and a living dialogue between generations of Ukraine’s defenders are combined at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
