A new area of support and unity for the veteran community – esports – has been launched at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.

An informal meeting of veterans took place at the university’s modern “Cyber Arena” space, where the participants played a team game of “Counter-Strike 2.” The event was attended by university employees Ivan Zmiievskyi and Artem Formalov, as well as military veterans Roman Chasovyi, Oleksandr Moroz, and Yevhenii Pikniner.
During the meeting, the participants created the university’s veteran esports team, which will contribute to the development and popularization of esports at the educational institution. This initiative is aimed at supporting veterans, facilitating their social adaptation, and involving them in new formats of team interaction.
“Today esports is not just about games. It is strategy, interaction, quick decision-making, and real teamwork. Therefore, together we are taking another step toward creating an environment where veterans can develop, support one another, and discover new horizons,” the team representatives noted.
