A lesson on blood circulation and shock was conducted for lyceum students by an instructor from the Recruiting Center of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, known by the call sign “Khimik.”

During the training, students examined the mechanisms of blood circulation in the human body and the causes of shock. They learned about the main signs of shock, how to recognize a deterioration in a victim’s condition, and why timely response is critical for saving lives.
The instructor explained the algorithm for providing pre-medical aid in such situations, focusing on the sequence of actions when assessing a person’s condition, controlling bleeding and maintaining vital functions until medical professionals arrive. Particular attention was also paid to factors that may worsen a victim’s condition, including the risk of hypothermia.

The lesson also covered ways to prevent the development of shock, including ensuring the correct position of the injured person, keeping them warm, continuously monitoring their condition and promptly seeking medical assistance.
Such training sessions are held regularly at the Lyceum as part of the security-oriented training program. They help students gain practical knowledge of tactical medicine, maintain composure in emergency situations and act confidently when life and health are at risk.
