On the occasion of the Day of the Ukrainian Volunteer, war veterans who work and train at the base of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs held a sports and educational event for students of Dnipro Gymnasium No. 89.
Veterans Ivan Zmiievskyi, Oleksandr Hryshchuk, and Artem Formalov joined the meeting. The school students congratulated them on the holiday with a creative program, thanking them for their service, courage, and protection of the state. The veterans, in turn, noted the importance of such support and attention from the younger generation.
After the ceremonial part, the guests conducted a sports master class for the students. Ivan Zmiievskyi and Artem Formalov introduced the school students to pétanque – a sport that combines physical activity, concentration, and teamwork. The veterans explained that the game is used as one of the tools for psychological recovery and rehabilitation of military personnel.
