The event was organized by the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the higher education institution.
Cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU took part in the meeting.
The Head of the DSUIA Veterans Council Leonid Kamyshov told first-year cadets about the creation of the university, its evolution from a militia school to a modern higher education institution.
The cadets learned about key historical milestones, outstanding personalities who shaped DSUIA, as well as creative and sports achievements of cadets, students and employees.
The meeting became an important step in introducing cadets to the traditions and history of the institution.
Such events contribute to the formation in youth of a sense of pride in their university, strengthen the connection with its traditions and motivate professional growth.
