Cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU took part in the event.
The elective class was conducted by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Police Lieutenant Colonel Yuliia Shendryk, and Associate Professor of the Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Yefimov.
During the class, cadets learned about certain aspects of conducting a search taking into account martial law conditions, the main requirements for proper procedural recording of search results, drawing up a search protocol and its annexes.
Basic mistakes during search conduct were considered, which may subsequently lead to the recognition of obtained evidence as inadmissible.
In addition, cadets tried to independently draw up a search protocol based on the provided factual circumstances. To maximize proximity to real conditions, the class was conducted using the locations of the investigative-criminalistic training ground.
The practical skills acquired during the class increase the level of professional readiness of cadets for conducting investigative (search) actions under martial law conditions and are necessary for further work.
