The event was held at the National Academy of Internal Affairs within the framework of the NATO Building Integrity Programme.
Representatives of higher education institutions under the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as experts from specialized state institutions and international partners, took part in the training.
The programme of the event included discussion of modern approaches to forming an anti-corruption culture, exchange of practical experience and development of new educational tools for training law enforcement officers.
Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by the Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Innovative Education, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Olha Kulinich; Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, Police Lieutenant Colonel Anton Marienko and the Authorized Person for Anti-Corruption Activities Ruslan Lupyr.
Opening the event, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk emphasized the systematic work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on training trainers and developing anti-corruption education.
Rector of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Police General of the Third Rank Ruslan Serbin emphasized the importance of anti-corruption awareness of personnel for the effective functioning of the law enforcement system.
The training took place in in-person format with financial and organizational support from the NATO Building Integrity Programme. Speakers included representatives of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, NATO Representation in Ukraine, National Defense University of Ukraine, Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine and non-governmental organizations.
Participants paid attention to modern approaches to forming integrity, mastered innovative educational tools and analyzed practical cases of implementing anti-corruption standards in law enforcement activities. Particular attention was paid to training trainers who will subsequently teach employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
