Outreach meetings were organized by the Faculty for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs jointly with officers of practical units of the National Police of Ukraine.
The events were held with 11th-grade students of “Credo” Lyceum, Lyceum No. 107 “Leader,” Lyceum No. 123, and the Central City Lyceum.
The meeting with the students was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities, Police Major Andrii Kyselov.
In order to provide a more detailed introduction to the faculty’s specializations in which future law enforcement officers are trained, career guidance activities also involved Senior Inspector of the Analytical Work Department of the Criminal Analysis Directorate of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Police Lieutenant Yana Lazareva; Inspector of the 10th Department (Activity Support) of the Strategic Investigations Directorate of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Police Lieutenant Yana Morozova; and Inspector of the Human Resources Department of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Police Lieutenant Yana Anastasova.
The officers directly provided students with information on the specifics of the specializations “criminal police,” “strategic investigations,” and “criminal analysis.”
Students learned about the procedure and conditions for admission to DSUIA, the faculties and specialties in which cadets and students are trained, physical fitness standards and the procedure for performing exercises for the entrance examination, and watched a video presentation about the new specialization “criminal analysis,” prepared by an employee of the Criminal Analysis Directorate of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
In addition, Andrii Kyselov paid special attention to information regarding the daily schedule, study conditions, and living arrangements of cadets. Students also learned about opportunities to participate in sports sections and the involvement of cadets in scientific work by the university’s departments, and received answers to the questions that interested them.
