Representatives of the student and cadet self-government of the university, together with the Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work, Police Lieutenant Colonel Nataliia Karnaukh, supported the initiative of the charitable foundation “MAMA plus YA.”

The “Rooms of Happiness” project предусматриє the creation of a safe and supportive space in medical institutions for children who have temporarily been left without parental care. In particular, it concerns children removed from families due to improper living conditions, those who have experienced violence, or who were in difficult life circumstances.

According to DSUIA students, during such periods children need attention, psychological support, and a safe environment. Therefore, as part of the visit, the cadets offered interactive activities aimed at reducing emotional anxiety and tension. They presented toys and sweets, communicated with the children, and conducted play activities. They also explained in an accessible way the profession of a police officer, its advantages and features.

Participation in the “Rooms of Happiness” project is an important component of the university’s social activities. Such initiatives contribute to supporting the psycho-emotional state of children and their social adaptation, and also foster empathy among students and readiness to work with vulnerable population groups.
The event was held within the framework of the implementation of the “Friendly Support” project of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
