The team of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the regional hand-to-hand combat championship within the “Dynamiada-2026” competition.

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by nine cadets under the guidance of coach, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training Oleksandr Zhuravel.
The competitions brought together combined teams of physical culture and sports collectives from law enforcement agencies, rescue services, and other special services of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the overall standings, the DSUIA team took third place in the “controlled contact” and “technique demonstration” categories. Representatives of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region took first place, while the team of the National Guard of Ukraine placed second.
According to the results of the competition, the individual standings were as follows:
● Police Private Nazar Zlyi (study group DR-343) — 1st place (weight category up to 90 kg);
● Police Private Akim Sharakov (study group DR-081-24-2) — 2nd place (weight category up to 65 kg);
● Police Private Bohdan Riabchenko (study group KP-262-24-1) — 2nd place (weight category up to 70 kg);
● Police Private Vladyslav Taranov (study group DR-081-24-1) — 3rd place (weight category up to 60 kg);
● Police Private Serhii Shapoval (study group DR-081-24-1) — 3rd place (weight category up to 75 kg).
