DSUIA veterans successfully performed at the “Invictus Valor” event in Kyiv

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

The three-day inclusive physical culture and wellness event brought together more than 300 participants who competed in sports challenges aimed at developing physical endurance, strength, and team spirit.

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by military veterans who train and work at the educational institution: assistant duty officer of the duty unit of the Service Organization Department Bohdan Demchenko and a specialist of the sports team of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work Oleksandr Hryshchuk.

Both athletes demonstrated consistent technique, psychological endurance, and the ability to compete with strong opponents. They ranked among the top ten in three events: rowing on an ergometer, kettlebell press, and interval rides on an air bike.

Participation in the “Invictus Valor” event contributes to the physical and psychological rehabilitation of veterans. Such competitions motivate them to gradually restore their physical condition, increase confidence in their abilities, and restore a sense of team interaction. For university representatives, this is also an opportunity to integrate into the sports environment, exchange experience, and establish contacts with representatives from other regions.
