All-Ukrainian Round Table “March Readings in Memory of Professor Leonid Loboyko” took place at DSUIA

The event was organized by the Department of Criminal Procedure of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pretrial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine.

The round table was dedicated to honoring the memory and scientific contribution of the outstanding Ukrainian scholar, Doctor of Law, Professor, volunteer, Judge of the Supreme Court Leonid Loboyko, who worked for more than 10 years at the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA, and from 2009 to 2011 headed it.

With welcoming words to the participants of the round table addressed the Deputy Head of the Cassation Criminal Court within the Supreme Court, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Nataliia Antoniuk, as well as the daughter and granddaughter of Leonid Loboyko – Olena and Kateryna Dudzenko.

The event was moderated by the Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA, Police Major Victoria Rogalska.

During the round table, current problems of criminal procedure, to which the scientist devoted his professional career, as well as his contribution to the formation of future lawyers and scientists, were discussed.

The event was attended by judges, representatives of pretrial investigation bodies, lawyers, scientific and pedagogical workers of more than ten higher education institutions, in particular: Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, the Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems named after Academician V. V. Stashys of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National University “Odesa Law Academy”, King Danylo University, Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law named after Leonid Yuzkov, Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, etc. Also, more than 100 higher education students from different universities from all regions of Ukraine joined the event.

Such events contribute to the preservation of the scientific heritage of outstanding lawyers, the formation among the young generation of deep respect for professional traditions, stimulate scientific discussions and contribute to the development of modern criminal procedural thought in Ukraine.
