NEWS

The initiative was implemented in cooperation with the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the MIA in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

The event was oriented towards military veterans undergoing rehabilitation and aimed to combine informing about educational and professional opportunities with practical tools for social adaptation. The participants were presented with the areas of training at DSUIA, the conditions of admission and study, as well as the prospects for further employment at the educational institution.

The Head of the Department of Automotive Training of DSUIA, military veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov, thoroughly familiarized those present with the activities of the university, emphasizing the accessibility of educational services for veterans and persons with disabilities. Particular attention was paid to the Barrier-Free Driving School as an element of practical support: the categories of driver training, the specifics of the educational process and the technical features of adapted vehicles were explained.

Representatives of the MIA Service Center provided comprehensive information regarding the procedures for obtaining administrative services, including registration and re-equipment of vehicles in accordance with the needs of persons with disabilities.

The practical component of the event included direct familiarization with the training material base: the participants communicated with the driver-instructor, inspected a specially adapted vehicle used in training, and also had the opportunity to test themselves in driving.

The holding of such events is a component of the systematic work of DSUIA in the direction of barrier-free access and veteran policy, aimed at supporting rehabilitation, professional realization and integration of veterans into civilian life.
