Representatives of the university successfully performed at the all-Ukrainian competitions and confirmed a high level of sports training.
The Championship was organized by the All-Ukrainian Pickleball Federation with the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and partner organizations. The program included training sessions and tournament competitions in several categories.
Veterans of the war who train on the basis of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs took part in the sports event. Following the results of the training camp and competitive performances, the first place was won by a representative of DSUIA, veteran Viacheslav Kaistro.
Veterans Oleksandr Hryshchuk and Serhii Shtym also joined the tournament: they not only competed in the competitions, but also successfully completed the training and received certificates of “Pickleball Instructor”, which will allow them to further develop this area among the veteran community.
Pickleball as a component of adaptive sports combines moderate physical activity with the development of coordination, motor skills and endurance. In addition to physical recovery, this sport contributes to the improvement of the psycho-emotional state, the development of team interaction and overcoming social isolation.
The successful performance of DSUIA veterans testifies to the effectiveness of systematic work in the direction of adaptive sports development at the university. Such achievements not only strengthen the position of the institution at the national level, but also confirm the importance of creating conditions for the recovery and self-realization of the defenders of Ukraine.
