The meeting was organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the National Police of Ukraine.
Students of gymnasiums No. 38, No. 62 and No. 102 of the Dnipro City Council — participants of the city educational project “ZnaYTy”, a legal hub aimed at helping schoolchildren in choosing a future profession — took part in the event.
Future applicants were familiarized with the conditions of study and accommodation at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, and were also informed about the peculiarities of the police officer profession.


The schoolchildren visited training classrooms, a psychological support room, and also familiarized themselves with the training grounds for prevention and counteraction to domestic violence and the investigative-criminalistic ground, where they tried themselves in the role of an investigator and a criminalist specialist.


The Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights Valentyna Bonyak told about the conditions of admission to the university for the specialties D8 “Law” and K9 “Law Enforcement”, C4 “Psychology”, F3 “Computer Sciences”, and also answered the questions that interested the gymnasium students.
The career guidance and educational event increased the interest of schoolchildren in the profession of a police officer and demonstrated a significant interest of students in Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs as a leading institution for training law enforcement officers and lawyers.
