NEWS

The event was conducted by the university’s psychological support unit with the aim of increasing the level of psychological readiness of students to perform their official duties under conditions of constant workload.

During the session, theoretical and applied aspects of developing resilience as a professionally significant quality of a police officer capable of acting effectively under stress, uncertainty, and increased responsibility were considered. The training for second-year cadets was conducted by DSUIA psychologist Alina Horodnychenko.

Particular attention was paid to the impact of stress factors on an individual’s psycho-emotional state, mechanisms of psychological self-regulation and recovery, as well as the development of skills for constructive responses in challenging service situations. During the training, a set of interactive methods and practical exercises was used, aimed at developing emotional stability, awareness of personal resources, increasing self-control, and forming adaptive strategies for coping with stress.

As noted by the head of the psychological support unit, Serhii Vyshnevskyi, resilience is a key competency of a modern police officer, as it allows not only to withstand intense workloads but also to maintain the ability to make effective decisions in critical situations. Participation in the event contributed to increasing cadets’ psychological awareness, developing skills for maintaining mental health, and strengthening their readiness for future professional activity in the units of the National Police of Ukraine.
