The students familiarized themselves with the basics of car driving and key elements of preparation for the start of movement.
The purpose of the car training course is to form basic practical skills of driving a vehicle in lyceum students, to develop skills of safe behavior on the road and further improvement of driving skills.
In particular, the lyceum students practiced the algorithm of preparing the driver’s workplace: correct adjustment of the seat according to height and body position, adjustment of rear-view mirrors to ensure maximum visibility, as well as mandatory use of seat belts.
The participants studied in detail the purpose and principle of operation of the main controls of the vehicle – the steering wheel, pedals (accelerator, brake and clutch) and gear shift lever. Particular attention was paid to the sequence of the driver’s actions during a safe start of movement, as well as the coordination of the work of hands and feet.
The classes are conducted with a combination of theoretical and practical training, which allows lyceum students to gradually consolidate the acquired knowledge and apply it in practice. The acquired skills contribute to the development of attentiveness, self-control and understanding of the importance of observing traffic rules.
