NEWS

Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs completed another stage of training of 118 community police officers from 16 regions of Ukraine. The event was held at the parade ground of the University with complete following sanitary-and-epidemic prevention norms.

The training of law enforcement officers at DSUIA has taken almost 3 months. The most qualified instructors, experienced police officers, social services representatives and ICITAP trainers have been engaged in the educational process. In terms of the course police officers were being trained to work in a rural area as well as Community Policing direction (establishing contacts with locals).

And the long-expected moment has finally come. All engaged in this revolutionary project implementation gathered at DSUIA parade ground to sum up the educational process and congratulate officers with their service official start.

Volodymyr Bohonis, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region, police captain; Mykola Kashchuk, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Donetsk region, police colonel; Pavlo Karabuta, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia region, police colonel; Yuriy Slukhaienko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Luhansk region, police colonel, as well as professional education coordinators from ICITAP were among the guests.

Andrii Fomenko, DSUIA Rector, police colonel, congratulated law enforcement officers.

“I would like to wish you success and inspiration in your entire practical activity. Perform your duties with dignity. I express my gratitude to ICITAP coordinators for constant support, to trainers, who were teaching listeners, and everybody engaged in organization of the educational process. May you be the worthy experts in your field!” Andrii Fomenko stated.

Volodymyr Bohonis, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region, assured that community police officers were welcomed in unified territorial communities.

“Our selection system is very complicated and fair. Thus, not every law enforcement officer can pass exams and become a community police officer. However, I would like to state that the participants of the first stage of training community police officers have already demonstrated 73% trust level among the locals. It means that the way you have chosen is correct and necessary”, Volodymyr Bohonis noted.

Listeners of the fourth wave of the project have obtained certificates and will start perform their duties in unified territorial communities shortly.
