It is not the time for a festive table at Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs yet, but presents for the winners of New Year contests are ready. And here is the list of top achievements to be shared!
The first places in “Dynamiada-2020”!
Complex competition program “Dynamiada-2020” includes several components: kettle-bell lifting, futsal, track-and-field cross, multiathlon, unarmed self-defense, practical shooting and chess. Under the results of this year tournament an absolute victory was of combined team of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, which outcompeted representatives of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region and the Main Department of the State Emergency Service.
Cooperation with civil movement “Gender Stream”
Civil movement “Gender Stream” has been actively contributing to rights and opportunities equality for women and men in social-economic, civil-and-political as well as educational areas for four recent years. Besides, this organization works in the direction of protection human dignity and gender awareness of citizens.
Provision of legal assistance
Specialists from legal clinics “Istyna” have provided 131 consultations and legal assistance. During quarantine restrictions they were performing online consultations via hotline of DSUIA legal assistance coordination center. Moreover, legal clinics “Istyna” has taken active participation in the events of the Legal Clinics Association of Ukraine. In addition, clinics representatives have:
• held inter-regional scientific and practical forum “Actual Problems of Interaction between Subjects Taking Response and Preventive Actions towards Violence at Educational Institutions” jointly with legal club “Pravokator”;
• published 78 theses and 1 scientific article by students in conference digest in Ukraine and abroad;
• held 50 thematic meetings, trainings, workshops and practical classes in legal issues online via Zoom together with students and cadets.
New level of psychological activity at DSUIA
Psychologists from DSUIA Psychological Provision Department have been engaged in the social community of the National Psychological Association of Ukraine and accepted to the High School Psychologist Association of Ukraine.
Outcomes of DSUIA specialists have obtained high assessment at the Main Office of the Council of Europe
Employees of the Educational-and-Scientific Laboratory for the Research Internally Displaced Persons’ Legal Status Issues and Securing Gender Equality led by Larysa Nalyvaiko, vice-rector, have conducted analytical research in terms of the project of the Council of Europe “Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Development of Long-Term Decisions”. Its outcomes have obtained high assessment at the Main Office of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. They will be further used for recommendations either for Ukraine, or for other states, which face the problem of internal displacement.
Volunteering at DSUIA
Coordination center “I am a Volunteer” started working on 2 April 2020. Cadets and students started providing aid to people with restricted mobility from the first days, which turned into a strong volunteer movement. The University “hot line” has accepted 617 calls; cadets-volunteers have provided 7,089 persons with social aid since the coordination center has started to work.
The fourth wave of community police officers is ready to work!
118 law enforcement officers from 16 regions of Ukraine are already performing their duties in united territorial communities. It has been three-month training at DSUIA. The educational process has engaged the best instructors, experienced law enforcements, representatives of social services and ICITAP experts.
DSUIA sportsmen have won golden, silver and bronze medals at Ukrainian championship in unarmed combat
Ukrainian Youth Championship in unarmed combat and combat sambo has been held in Sumy. Over 50 sportsmen from 23 regions of Ukraine have partaken in the tournament. The winners included representatives of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs.
